The Forgotten Holocausts of Islamic Colonialism
(More Civilizations Islam Tried to Erase)
In my last posts, I exposed how Islamic conquest wiped out native civilizations like the Berbers, Copts, and Assyrians.
But if you think that’s where it ended, you’re wrong.
Islamic colonialism was a global phenomenon.
It spread like wildfire across three continents — burning down native cultures wherever it went.
Here are more victims you’re never taught about:
1. The Persians (Iran)
Before Islam: Persia was a powerhouse of civilization — home of Zoroastrianism, rich poetry, advanced science, and grand empires like the Achaemenids and Sassanids.
After Islam:
651 AD: The Muslim conquest crushes the Sassanid Empire.
Zoroastrians are slaughtered, forcibly converted, or taxed into submission.
Persian culture is Arabized; even the script is replaced with Arabic.
Zoroastrian temples are destroyed or converted into mosques.
Today, Iran still bears deep scars — forced to wear an Islamic identity over its ancient Persian soul.
Islam didn’t “enrich” Persia. It burned Persia to the ground and rebuilt it in its own image.
2. The Anatolians (Modern Turkey)
Before Islam: Anatolia (Asia Minor) was the heartland of Greco-Roman civilization — Christian, Greek-speaking, home to ancient cities like Ephesus and Antioch.
After Islam:
11th-15th centuries: Turkish Muslim invasions crush Byzantine rule.
Native Greek and Armenian Christian populations are massacred or Islamized.
Constantinople (modern Istanbul) falls in 1453 — Hagia Sophia, the greatest church in Christendom, is turned into a mosque.
The indigenous Greek-Christian identity of Anatolia is nearly exterminated.
Turkey today isn’t Turkish by origin. It’s a graveyard built over the ruins of Greek, Roman, and Armenian civilization.
3. The Hindus (India)
Before Islam: India was a thriving civilization — home to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, ancient universities, literature, science, and philosophy.
After Islam:
Muslim invaders like Mahmud of Ghazni, Muhammad of Ghor, the Delhi Sultans, and the Mughal emperors unleash centuries of terror.
Tens of thousands of Hindu temples are destroyed.
Hindus are slaughtered in the millions — in places like Somnath, Varanasi, and Vijayanagara.
The jizya tax is imposed on non-Muslims.
Forced conversions, slavery, and systematic humiliation of Hindus become normalized.
Some historians estimate that up to 80 million Indians may have died because of Islamic invasions — making it one of the bloodiest religious genocides in human history.
Islamic colonialism turned India from a land of temples and scholars into a battlefield of survival.
4. The Nubians (Sudan)
Before Islam: Christian kingdoms like Nobatia, Makuria, and Alodia ruled Sudan — sophisticated, wealthy, and independent.
After Islam:
Muslim raids and jihads batter Nubian kingdoms for centuries.
Gradually, through forced treaties and endless warfare, Islam replaces Christianity.
Arabic replaces native Nubian languages.
By the 14th-15th centuries, Christian Nubia is dead — swallowed into the Islamic-Arabic sphere.
The Christian kingdoms of Africa were not "liberated" by Islam. They were suffocated to death.
5. The Balkans (Southeastern Europe)
Before Islam: Orthodox Christian lands like Serbia, Greece, and Bulgaria thrived — with ancient monasteries, cathedrals, and national cultures.
After Islam:
The Ottoman Empire invades and imposes brutal Islamic rule.
Christians become second-class citizens (dhimmis) under Sharia law.
Forced conversions, child slavery (the devshirme system, stealing Christian boys to be raised as Muslim janissaries), and heavy taxation decimate native societies.
It takes centuries of bloody wars to finally push Islamic rule out of the Balkans — and the scars remain today.
Ottoman Islam tried to crush European Christian civilization — and almost succeeded.
🔥 The Pattern Is Clear:
Wherever Islam went, it erased — not enriched.
It erased native religions.
It erased native languages.
It erased native histories.
It erased native peoples’ very self-identity.
Islamic colonialism didn’t just conquer land.
It conquered souls.
And unlike European colonialism — which was often rolled back in the modern era — Islamic colonialism largely succeeded and still controls the lands it once conquered.
🚨 Final Warning:
The greatest trick Islamic colonialism ever pulled was convincing the world it wasn’t colonialism at all.
It wasn’t "peaceful expansion." It wasn’t "liberation." It wasn’t "justice."
It was war, conquest, domination, and annihilation.
And millions of indigenous voices — silenced by 14 centuries of Islamic rule — scream the truth from their forgotten graves.
We must be their voice.
